About Us

Our History

The Zambia Texas Association was formed in March of 2007 by a group of Zambians in Dallas, Texas. It was registered with the State of Texas in May 2007 as a non-profit organization and continues to operate under that charter.

Our Mission

The purpose of our association is to:

  • Give an opportunity to Zambians and citizens of other countries a sense of belonging and family
  • Be a resource for its members in times of need and strive to promote Zambian cultural values
  • Fill the void created by the absence from home through observation of Zambian holidays and events
  • Serve as a resource for networking opportunities among professionals and non-professionals alike from all walks of life through other social activities and events
  • Be actively involved with charitable causes both in the United States and back home
  • Allow its members and the citizens of other countries an opportunity to experience Zambia away from Zambia

By cultivating a spirit of giving back to our communities, we are creating model citizens that truly reflect that Zambian spirit of giving. We strongly believe that these activities will go a long way in developing a community of individuals filled with integrity and compassion.

We invite you to join this association to not only sample the spirit of Zambia, but to also establish lifetime friendships with a great group of individuals. Feel free to contact us for membership information.
